The Ruins of Fort Miami
Covering about two acres of land, Fort Miami was one of the British outposts in the Native country in the territory of the United States. Henry Procter and Tecumseh used it in 1813 as a base of operations during the siege of nearby Fort Meigs. Here, Tecumseh prevented the massacre of a number of Americans captured by First Nations warriors during the siege.
