The Cheasapeake vs the Shannon

The USS Cheasapeake was captured by the HMS Shannon on June 1, 1813, just off Boston Harbour. The HMS Shannon was commanded by Captain Philip Broke and Captain James Lawrence commanded the USS Cheasapeake. Both ships carried thirty-eight guns.
