William Hull’s Detroit Campaign

To convince Congress to vote for war with Britain, Henry Clay and the War Hawks promised that Canada would be an easy conquest, a mere matter of marching, some of them even said. William Hull and his army failed to take two important factors into consideration: Isaac Brock and Tecumseh.
