Plan of Tippecanoe Camp and Battle
From 1805 on, the Governor of the Indiana Territory, William Henry Harrison, grew increasingly concerned about the mounting native resistance. In November 1811, despite an offer of negotiation from the Prophet, the Americans advanced on the seat of Tecumseh's confederacy at Prophet's Town. During the ensuing battle, nearly 200 men from both sides perished.
